Hello PlanIt!

Hello all current PlanItaries and PlanItaries-to-be of ISoPlanIt.com!  This is our first blog post and we want to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves.  This blog will be the complement to our Web page (going live soon), our Facebook page (already with over 1,000 fans) and our Twitter posts.

Here, unlike the other sources mentioned, we will dig deeper and reach further.  We will be able to interact in a growing community of PlanItaries.  But first–since we have used the term often–what is a PlanItary?

A PlanItary is a person that loves to travel.  Furthermore, for a PlanItary, traveling isn’t just a tour of monuments, palaces, cathedrals, temples, museums and the like.  Rather, traveling is a fabulous opportunity that comes about once time, interest and a few thalers align themselves.  So, a PlanItary seeks to know what is going on at the cities that they are visiting, rather than a long list of bars, clubs, pubs, museums, parks, restaurants, etc…  Going to London (or any of a growing list of cities worldwide) for two weeks a month from now?  ISoPlanIt.com will have a listing of events taking place during this time.  On the other hand, are you an event promoter?  Let us know what you are promoting and we will post it…for free.  These two points are what make ISoPlanIt.com a wonderful service for travelers.  Providers of entertainment can connect with those seeking it at the very moment they most need it:  when they are far away from the familiar surroundings of their home base.

So, by now we have highlighted how travelers and event promoters can benefit from engaging on our event search engine.  But, is that all?  Nah…  The tour guides that engage in anything from pub crawls in Barcelona to rock climbing expeditions in Wyoming to hot air balloon tours over Ayer’s Rock in Australia, can post their activities on ISoPlanIt.com.  We don’t want to replace the professional travel planner.  Actually, we are their best friend!
